FAQs

We’ve put together a range of questions and answers to help you feel confident and trusting in your choice of nursery for your child.

Fees are due in advance on the first of every month. You can set up standing order, pay cash, pay by card or BACS payment.

The nursery is also registered with HMRC for tax-free childcare.

Some parents have set up an account to pay their fee using this method.

Lunch and snacks are included in your monthly fee. We usually have toast and milk/water first thing in the morning.

Parents should provide nappies, wipes/cotton wool for changing. Some parents prefer to use non disposable nappies too.

If your baby requires formula milk/breast milk, you should provide this. The nursery provides cow`s milk and also dairy free milk to drink.

The lunch menu can be found here. It is on a four-week rotation.

We have a very flexible settling in procedure.  As every family is unique, the settling in is tailored to each child’s needs.

The first settle in day you will come with your child for 1 hour. During this time, you can meet the staff, see how the room flows, watch your child interact with others, and complete a personal care plan.

The second settle day, your child can come for 2 hours. You can choose to stay for a short time and when comfortable you can leave your child to play.

You can organise further settling in periods with the room senior of your child’s room.

A change of clothes is a good idea. Your child will have a peg or tray to store any belongings. Bibs for babies and hats and gloves for the cold weather, sun cream and sun hat for summer.  The nursery will provide waterproof suits for outdoor play; parents should provide a pair of wellingtons boots.

When your child starts, we will ask you to complete a personal care plan.  In this plan you detail all your child’s likes/dislikes and preferences. Any allergies are recorded here too. If your child has any intolerances, allergies or special diet to follow, your child’s food will be labelled clearly with their name and allergens.

We always give informal daily feedback about your child’s day when you collect your child. Also, all children have learning journals, where parents can access their child’s profile. Photos, videos and observations of your child’s learning can be accessed here.

We offer parent appointments bi-annually, where parents can meet with their child’s key worker to discuss their learning and development.

It is our policy to go out in the fresh air and natural light with the children daily.

The nursery provides outdoor waterproof suits for all children, except for young babies. We also have prams with rain covers.
